My classes go beyond the typical “paint and sip” events. While those are fun, I focus on teaching real techniques. I’ll teach you how to work with color, light, shadow, and composition — all in a relaxed, step-by-step way that’s still fun, but far more rewarding.

Tuesday February 17, 2026 Paint Your Pet from a photo
Bring your favorite pet to life as art in this relaxed, fun acrylic painting class!
We will paint on acrylic art paper for a smooth surface.
Before class, you’ll email me a photo of your pet. I will prepare your Art paper with a custom outline so there is no drawing required — You will trace the outline with a fine pen at class then you can jump right into painting with confidence.
During class, I’ll guide you step-by-step as you paint your pet in a loose, colorful, or natural style — in whatever colors feel right to you. Go with realistic colors or have some fun! Every painting will be unique, and I’ll be there to help you with color, shading, and finishing touches.
No experience needed The outline will be pre-made for you.
- Custom outline prepared just for you
- Paint in your own style with gentle guidance
- You’ll leave with a finished pet portrait and a big smile.
NOTE: The better the photo, the better your outline will be. I need the biggest file possible, (not minimizing in size). Straight-on head only images will turn out the best for this project. You can text or call me if you need help picking a picture.

Birch trees are fun and fairly easy to paint and I can help with the drawing the pumpkins if needed. Once you learn these techniques, you can go home and use them to create art on your own. These paintings work for Beginner to advanced students.

Class Content: You will LOVE playing in 3D with plaster! This class is a beginner introduction to the world of Plaster Relief. You will create 3 pieces in this class: two Flower pieces and a small tropical leaf simpler panel. Plaster is a very fun media to work with and grants exceptional results. In this beginner class, the hard part has been pre-done for you so you can walk away with a very nice finished flower themed pieces of art that will WOW your friends!

3D Plaster Relief Beginner Class with Carol Robin King
Class Content: You will LOVE playing in 3D with plaster! This class is a beginner introduction to the world of Plaster Relief. You will create 2 pieces in this class: A Birch Forest piece and a Twisted Maple piece. Plaster is a very fun media to work with and grants exceptional results. In this beginner class. You will learn how to use bags and pastry tips to apply the plaster to your panel and shape it with tools. You will walk away with 2 pieces of art that will WOW your friends!
