About Us

Carol King  is the current artist/teacher.   Below is her bio.

Family, sweet memories of childhood and special places are the essence of Carol Robin King art.
Carol remembers loving drawing as early as the age of three. “I think I was born to be an artist.
As far back as I can remember, I would sketch on every nearby piece of paper.” Growing up in a foreign
mission field fashioned Carol with deep values, faith, and an appreciation for people and beauty that are evident in her art.

While in Argentina, at age 14,  Carol asked her parents for art lessons. With several children and on a missionary’s salary, Carol’s parents simply could not justify such an expense.

Determined to paint, however, Carol used her allowance to purchase several oils paints and a piece of
canvas.  She proceeded to paint a clipper ship on the ocean in most intricate detail.
Carol then presented the finished painting to her parents.    Upon seeing the finished work,
they promptly signed her up for art class and provided for three years of schooling.

“That is a sacrifice I will always remember and appreciate!”

“I’m driven to paint, it’s something God  put deep inside me that has to come out.  Even when I’m not drawing, I’m thinking about it and sketching in my mind. or thinking what colors I would use to paint something I see as I’m driving down the road.”

Carol draws people, places and animals in watercolor,  pastel,  pencil and acrylics.   She strives to capture Moments In Time that  remind the soul of quiet times, pleasant memories and peaceful places.  She is available for special Commissions, Portraits  and now offers Pet Portraits as well.
